The mission of Kairos is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men and women.
Our goal is to build Christian community inside the walls of prisons. Residents are introduced to Kairos during 3 1/2 day weekend events, held once or twice a year. The weekend event consists of a series of talks and discussions that are designed to build progressively on one another. Additionally, there is plenty of music and food. After that, participants are encouraged to keep the “fire burning” by organizing and participating in a time of prayer and sharing, or study groups. Kairos volunteers return once a month to help them with this.
